Sea Slugs of the Salish Sea: Sea Angels, Sea Hares, Bubble Shells, Headshield Slugs, Marine Snails, etc.

This page is meant to be a quick reference for those looking to identify Salish Sea sea slugs and snails that do not fall into the larger category of nudibranch.  Most have shells — some visible and others cloaked in a mantle.  The exception is the Sea Angel, which loses its shell within a few days of hatching.   I will be setting up an individual sight for marine snails in the future — as I go through old photos and have time.  Meanwhile, two of the mollusks pictured below follow under the sea snail category: the Stearn’s Ear Shell and Lewis’s Moonsnail.
