Note that the black dots can be few or many and the white patch large or small.    This fish reaches 8.5 inches and is found throughout the Indo-Pacific.   The IUCN redlist site notes that there was a significant decline in population (50%) in French Polynesia due to coral depletion — something to definitely keep an eye on as Hawaii struggles with significant and damaging bleaching events.
